Lionila was randomly assigned to GOALS in May, 2017. She had been unemployed for two years while she provided care for her family, and she was ready to re-enter the work force and contribute financially to her household. Lionila completed interests and skills assessments and worked closely with her Career Navigator to build a professional resume. She worked with partnering agencies for additional employment readiness services. In August, Lionila noticed that her old position had come open. Knowing it was a job that she loved to do, her Career Navigator quickly got to work helping Lionila write a letter to the establishment asking to be rehired. Her former employer remembered what a dedicated worker Lionila was, and a few days later offered her the old job back. Lionila is receiving retention services, and reports that the job is going great and she is glad to be back doing what she loves to do!
